Car title change?

How do I go about changing my car's title to my name? And how much do i expect to pay?Car title change?
Have the seller sign the title. Take to the DMV and pay a fee of about $15-$25

If you bought it from a family member, often you do not have to pay sales tax.Car title change?
The previous owner should have signed the back of title, conveying ownership to you.

Send it to the Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain a title in your name.

You may be able to do it at the local DMV, not sure.

A small fee is required.Car title change?
if its a family memeber then have them say they sold you the car for 20 bucks or giving as a gift some times they dont charge you on that... if not i think its 50 to 100 bucks.Car title change?
This depends on the state. When a car changes hands sales tax must be paid on the amount of the sale. If it seems to be too low, many states have a Presumptive Value Tax they can apply based on book value.

There will also be title and registration fees which vary from state to state. Some states also require a signed application for title, or a notarized bill of sale. Check your state DMV website for requirements.
