I have my car on ebay..it has 3 days left. My main concern is collecting the payment. What is the safest way to collect it and not get scammed like so many people do.
Being local is one thing but im also worried about selling it across the country, how would i change the title to their name?

Do not accept any type of check or money order. Only do a direct deposit from their bank to yours. Once the money is in your account, sign and date the title and make out a bill of sale stating the car is sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. Make a copy of both and send the original to the buyer via certified mail (or FedEx or UPS) requiring a signature for delivery. Accept a wire transfer as the only payment method. Bank to Bank wire transfer is the safest and easiest way to get paid.
Paperwork can be handled using overnight mail.
