I am in Texas. I have the title to the car, however it is in my husband's name. Would it be better for me to have it in my name in order to sell the car or trade it in at a dealership? How much will it be for me to have the title changed to my name?In TX, Is it ok to have a title in my husbands name but I am driving the car? How will that work if I sold it?
He can have it in his name only with you named as a driver. Has no effect in trading or selling the car only you can't do so (sign the title). My wife's car is in her name only, my car is in my name only and have done so for years.
